Today went by quickly.
I started by finishing the translation that's due tomorrow. What made it particularly challenging was the fact that it was a software manual, with parts that didn't quite make sense to me, so I went back and figured out what it was I was missing, after which it all fell into place. I can only imagine what would have transpired had I not noticed that I was straying off the path.
Once the finished document and invoice were on their way, I set about chasing some paper, but that was interrupted by a need to eat -- there is little in the house, although if pressed, I'm sure we could feed a platoon for a day or two on various "unknown" stores (you know, those cans of things like garbanzo beans that hide in the corner for years before either being consumed out of desperation, or discovery).
Afterward, it was near quitting time at the store and nearly time for Huntür's program at her school. Everything went well there and we all retired to the Hog's Breath for dinner. Here's a shot of Huntür and Galina in front of the roaring fire:
As I sat and chowed down on a Reuben sandwich, I mused about how I'll again be on the road in... 9 days.
Yikes!
Cheers...
