Going on 11 hours...
May. 17th, 2005 06:58 pmCircumstances conspire to keep this gig simmering at a medium boil, which will ultimately lead to a nice payday, but is starting to get kind of old. On the other hand, tomorrow is the last work day available to the participants, as the Russians must leave on Thursday morning to comply with their visas, so it's not really surprising to be putting in such hours at this point of the meeting.
After work yesterday, the host organization tried to arrange for a ride on the tramway that runs up Sandia Mountain, but the winds were too high, so again our plans were thwarted by the weather. Instead, we stopped at a restaurant called the County Line and enjoyed a thoroughly mediocre meal. I overate, which doubtless dampened my appreciation of the view of the Albuquerque city lights afforded from that part of town.
Folks are planning to go again tonight; I'm going to pass. I'm really tired.
Cheers...
