My efforts yesterday with the garage fell short of what was expected, although I see it as clearing away enough junk to make space so that Galina and I could open up boxes brought from Pearland (as well as others that've been lying "in state," so to speak, for over a year) and see what we really wanted to keep, what we wanted to chuck, and what we want to sell, say, at a garage sale.

I tend to be a lot less tolerant of what kinds of things ought to be kept for garage sales, which means I tend to throw a lot of stuff out. Of course, the adjective "less" in front of "tolerant" implies a comparison with someone - who shall remain nameless - and who has a disturbing tendency to "rescue" stuff I've tossed, ostensibly for inclusion in the garage sale.

Moi, I'm of the opinion that such items (e.g., an old, dusty, inoperative Nintendo PowerGlove) are not worth the effort it takes to salvage them. (And should it turn out, dear reader, that said item is worth a small fortune, please do not inform me, as that would probably make it impossible for me to throw anything away until the heat death of the Universe.)

We're invited to the kids' place in about two hours. Moreover, we still have some light shopping to do. I'm looking forward to this, as I've only caught sight of Shannon through a car window a couple of days ago, and have not seen Huntür at all since returning home.

Apropos of seeing Shannon: That occurred while I was biking from the house to the store, and event notable in that it was the first time ever that I've biked the distance - which includes some uphill portions - without stopping to rest.

Back to work!

Cheers...
