Ready to depart...
Sep. 17th, 2005 04:00 pmAs "planned," I spent the afternoon resting and packing, and I jotted down some notes about the Baikonur trip (a sort of personal "lessons learned" session). My health seems to have stabilized today, so perhaps I can look forward to being on the road to recovery during the flight tomorrow (or at least, dear Providence, no worse off).
Feht called to see if I'd come back. He mentioned that he's found a publisher for his translations of Jack Vance's books, in Novosibirsk. Otherwise, he continues in very productive mode, albeit his clients seem to take their own sweet time about paying invoices, so he's also in rubbing-nickels mode. I am, too. Indeed, I hope I can make it to my parents' house with what few bills and spare change I have lying around the house.
Time to get going.
Cheers...
