A day much like yesterday...
Oct. 11th, 2005 08:17 pmExcept that today, we sold postage. Seriously, it was a very busy day and it tuckered me out pretty thoroughly. (So, what else is new?)
No work calls, except for one late in the day asking about my availability for the November gig. I am all but ready to commit to it, since it's a nice assignment in what threatens to be an otherwise quiet month. There is also a possibility I might have an assignment down south soon, too. My paranoia level is still below critical.
The Fedora Core 3 update took its own sweet time downloading and installing, although it's hard to tell exactly how long the whole process took. By the time we got home from the kids' place last night, the resumed download had finished and upon clicking "Continue" (or whatever the button said) before retiring for the evening, the whole collection of updates began installing, and the process was complete by the time I rose this morning. (The whole experience hearkens me back to my first LiveJournal post, wherein I described upgrading my then Linux box to Mandrake "Helium" 7.1. That took a long time, as well, albeit in this iteration I don't have to worry about reconfiguring my mail.)
Apache is up and running, and I still have to go in and muck with the MySQL configuration and get it functional, but I think I'll wait until tomorrow to do that. Meanwhile, it's foot-rubbing time!
Cheers...
