Puttering along...
Nov. 27th, 2005 07:37 pmI didn't do any translation yesterday, but it turns out that's no big deal. I did 3000+ source words today, whittling the job down to just over 7,000 source words to be done by Wednesday, with the whole job to be delivered Thursday. Technically, I'd like to submit the job Wednesday so I could invoice it as part of November's billings, but in the end, one day either way really doesn't matter. Still, I think a late Wednesday delivery ought to be feasible.
In other news, I got a call from Vladimir V. yesterday, and heard just enough of the message he left to recognize his voice before Galina - who was reviewing messages on our phone - deleted it, mistakenly thinking it was something left over from this past summer. I called him forthwith, and in the course of our conversation found that I was not slated for the next Baikonur gig in mid-January, which, um, shall we say... got my attention? I shall have to send an email to my client to see what's going on, and also to see about getting reimbursed for the AIDS test I took for the visa application.
Otherwise, it's been a fairly slow day. Things should pick up tomorrow (and I don't know whether that's good or bad).
Cheers...
