Much better, but still...
Dec. 26th, 2005 09:11 pmI slept well and got up refreshed, but throughout the day, my throat has been steadily trying to kick my butt back to that primordial state where one can simply distinguish between pain and more pain. Not much fun.
I took a look at the item due after the New Year and I figure it's about 7K words long, with the wrinkle that English and Russian text is interspersed throughout (my job, of course, is to translate the Russian). Providence only knows why the original document looks the way it does, but as the document will take me two days maximum, I really didn't pay much attention to it today.
Around 6:30 pm, Natalie got the urge to make borscht, so we hied ourselves to the store for the absent ingredients (nearly all of them, except water) and have spent the last couple of hours making and supervising the simmering of said dish. Methinks we'll enjoy a bowl of the stuff while watching something on the DVD player in Natalie's old room.
Cheers...
