One long day...
May. 3rd, 2006 11:45 amOf which not much remains.
The usual stuff, except for an intriguing email from a new company offering me work at way below my usual rate, and I'm listening.
That, and a no-go from the company that had sent me those miserable standards: I'm too expensive, they said, wondering if I'd be willing to edit.
Fat chance of that. Editing is always a worse deal than translating, at least for this translator.
Shannon's parents picked up dinner at the Shanghai last night, where they, the kids, and I had gathered to celebrate Drew's birthday. I overate, unfortunately, which means I'll likely fast tomorrow.
Time to go to bed.
Cheers...
