Heading for Colorado...
Aug. 13th, 2006 06:19 amNatalie and I didn't go to the beach yesterday. It was too hot.
Instead, after breakfast at the Galeria, we drove down to Webster to check on the house. On the way, we stopped at Fry's, where I took a look at a docking station for the VAIO, and came away supremely disappointed. I suppose such a device might be useful if you have a standard set of items (e.g., video, network, USB) you want to connect to your laptop and move it around a lot, but since the station offers no additional functionality (e.g., a serial or parallel port), that's about all you get.
I picked up enough stuff at the house to assure my arrival at Albuquerque later today, and that's it, as I do not plan on taking along any checked luggage. I won't need to take much with me beyond the VAIO and a few associated items.
We bought the ingredients for dinner last night at a place not far from Natalie's apartment, called Central Market. The place is amazing in terms of variety of product (I don't think I've ever seen "dragon's tongue beans" on sale before), and to be frank, the store is pretty proud of its products, as reflected in the prices. We bought some chicken, pesto, and spinach sausage, some chianti, and a few other goodies I can't stop to recall right now because I need to get busy and get out of here.
Cheers...
