The French-speaking interpreters - myself among the two - are being deployed mostly to help with operations that are taking place away from the office area. This morning, I aided in the transfer of an electronics rack to Hall 111 on the other side of the полтинник, where, upon arriving, nobody could be sure where the required power receptacle was, or whether it was powered on or not, which is where the situation rested until everyone adjourned for lunch.

After lunch, I went out to the launch pad and supported the "acceptance" (taking custody of) the vault under the pad itself, which didn't occur as there was no urgent need to take custody, and the Russians were not finished with their work there, either. On the way back from the pad, we stopped to inspect a rather longish, musty-smelling room in a prefabricated concrete slab building, which would be used in the event that the launch vehicle fails to achieve orbit and various bits and pieces are retrieved by search teams. Not the most intellectually stimulating work ever, but the security guy on the French side kept me awake with a number of questions.

Tomorrow, my day officially starts after lunch and runs into the evening, which will give me a chance to review the outside project that I finished yesterday. Beyond that, I'll just wait for what comes. I know that November 2 and 3, Maya and I will be supporting Breeze-M fueling, and that the Russians have a holiday scheduled on November 4, so that rollout to the pad will occur on the following day.

Time to wind down from the day. A bunch of people are leaving tomorrow morning.

Cheers...
