Maybe there is something to the rumors...
Dec. 20th, 2006 04:53 amI just got off of Skype with Crédit Lyonnais, and the fellow I spoke with agreed to cancel the non-usage charge (which I correctly understood to have been imposed to relatively quickly eliminate a dormant account). I’m not at all sure to what extent his kindness was due to my promising, in exchange, to start using the account, but since I did, I probably should. At any rate, I figure I ought to at least get a debit card from them, which would keep me from not using the account.
(In working toward starting to use the account, I provided the bank information to my new client, which moots the issue of getting a call back from my local bank. It messes up the bookkeeping, somewhat, but has some good points as well.)
Keen observers of the human condition will note that this is being posted rather early for a guy who has a telecon to attend in... just over two hours. The fact is I woke up a little while ago and started thinking about the charge, and about calling the bank, etc. so after tossing around for about 20 minutes, I figured I’d get up and call. If I feel tired later in the day, I’ll take a nap.
For now, I think I’ll put on exercise gear and go for a walk. Maybe stop at Starbucks for an, um, “chemical intervention.”
Cheers...
