I've seen bumper stickers declaring that a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, which never fails to make me feel a little sorry for the person behind the wheel. I mention this because I've managed to take my "days off" in the middle of the week, accomplishing very nearly nothing.

There are those who would maintain that even accomplishing nothing is a worthy goal for a day off, but, in fact, such was not my goal, and the haphazard accomplishment of a large slug of wasted time does not allow me to derive any measure of pleasure.

So here I am, at 5 minutes to midnight, with 4 PowerPoint slides left to do for tomorrow morning.

(Ah, you've perhaps stumbled over the source of my malaise? Hmmm, am I that transparent?)

Seriously speaking, the wasted time consisted mostly of my either sleeping or reading, trying to relax my way out of a pervasive fatigue. Said tactic had to come to an end today, as there is quite a bunch of work that's piled up since a couple of days ago.

So, it's off to finish the PPT file, and then off to sleep.

Cheers...
