A busy day...
May. 21st, 2007 09:21 pmI got into work early, to allow Natalie - who was dropping me off - enough time to get back to her apartment, drop off the cat and the computer and get to work. There were only two radiograms in the hopper by the time I arrived, a situation that soon changed.
In the end, I was aided by two major circumstances: first, most of the documents were fairly short; second, some of them had to do with the upcoming space walk and these are traditionally translated in Moscow (though I actually translated two of the ones placed in my inbox before anyone knew what was going on).
It was a pretty exhausting day, on the whole. I fell asleep on the road back home (I mean, I was zonked), waking only when Galina slammed the car door after getting out.
I didn't quite get to the invoicing today as I had planned, but I did do a fairly good first cut at the invoices, the expense report from last week, and a trip report detailing my observations (especially the one where it turns out - surprise! - that this job will all but certainly require more than one interpreter.
Cheers...
