Except for tomorrow morning's telecon (which historically takes about 20 minutes to conclude), I've pretty much exhausted my plate of assignments. Galina (and circumstances) dictate that I take next week off, which of course is the absolutely worst week to do so, in terms of cash flow.
Then again, when is a good time?
Natalie's maneuvering to change jobs, and if she is successful, then it won't make much sense for her to move down here, especially considering the price of gas. That has caused me to do some serious rethinking of the viability of staying here. On the one hand, it's pretty convenient; on the other, it's pretty expensive, too.
The document I signed last Friday (and which our real estate agent called us about on Monday) apparently is the long pole in the closing tent, and I wish the house were sold, already! (That'll be one less item to worry about, though in the sense of "a voyage of a thousand miles," or at least that's the way it feels.)
It occurs to me that although I'd like to devote some time to something other than work, I'm probably not fit for much else. I need to think about that, for as good as I am at what I do, I have my doubts about other things.
I guess if I'm to be at my telecon tomorrow morning at 6:45 am, I should probably get some rack time in.
Cheers...
