Mar. 25th, 2008 07:44 pmThe crew arrived today to install the new cooling/heating system, so that pretty much shot the day. I did get some work done, but not nearly enough.
Among the related issues was having to turn the office very nearly topsy-turvy to give the crew access to the attic, after which it turns out they have to come back tomorrow to finish the job (and part of what was left undone was the work that has to be done in my office).
On top of which, I got my first "Can we expect any files yet?" email from the project manager of the 40K Job.
While walking in and out of my office, I've managed to install the Ubuntu 8.04 beta ("Hardy Heron") on a machine that up to now has been catatonic. Eventually, I want to set up a LAMP machine to run a local copy of TikiWiki. This will be accomplished one baby step at a time.
My overall mood remains upbeat. I plan to hit it hard tomorrow, regardless of what goes on around me.
