Progress, and not...
Aug. 6th, 2008 07:39 pmThis morning's work got off to something of a sluggish start, as Kevin S. and I hit the street at 5:50 am for the trip into the processing facility, only to find out, after making a radio call, that the morning transportation was not scheduled to stop by and pick us up. But we got to work eventually, thus setting the stage for the rest of the morning, it seemed. Stuff that had been represented as requiring 20 minutes actually took 40 minutes; little things like that.
Still, as I write this, the campaign has progressed past the point to which it had advanced previously, which is a certifiable Good Thing™.
As for myself, I took a nap this afternoon, after lunch, and then became a wandering generality (this, in addition to becoming a helpless slave of my stomach, as I am eating entirely too well, especially at dinner). And then I spent the afternoon chasing down an issue that probably wasn't worth the effort, but that's okay. Tomorrow, I'm the on-call guy, and I've determined to make the most of the day.
I think I will go walk on the treadmill for a while, but in truth, that really isn't going to turn the tide. What is required is a bit more self-discipline!
Cheers...
