Not much going on at all...
Sep. 6th, 2008 10:56 pmMost of the day seemed to be focused on Karen and Mike coming over in the evening, or at least getting food ready for dinner.
I learned that adding heavy cream to mushroom soup seems to "amplify" the taste of the mushrooms severalfold.
I learned that parboiling an onion requires more time if I want an end product that is limp yet still crunchy.
I learned that heating a prepackaged foil bag of garlic bread doesn't work so well on a barbeque grill, even if the latter is set to its lowest setting.
Dinner was very enjoyable, though, both from the perspective of the food and the company.
Cheers...
