I should not complain, as the snow is light and gentle, killing visibility at somewhere between an eighth and a quarter of a mile, and even though the white stuff's been falling continuously since late morning yesterday, at least it's not accompanied by howling wind, and the accumulation - what there is of it - is quite moderate. Shiloh loves it, by the way.

I underestimated the size of the French translation due tonight, but thanks to a disciplined beginning shortly after getting up this morning, I've managed to finish, despeckle, and send it off.

One thing that did annoy me was the absence of the few French reference books that I use quite frequently when I do work in French. I could've sworn that I brought them from New York, but then again, maybe I didn't (or they're "in storage" where they do me no good at all).

In the course of today's work, I decided to see how well my pelmeni dumplings weathered being frozen, as a fair part of the reason for making them in such quantity and freezing them is to have something easy, quick, and filling on hand when the desire to cook (or to eat out) is absent. In my opinion, although the result is edible, there's definitely room for improvement, but considering this was my first serious attempt at this culinary genre, I can't complain.

Cheers...
