Feht was going break his self-imposed six-week isolation and go into town, stopping by here as well, but that's apparently not going to happen until tomorrow.

Galina's visa application was received by the agency and submitted to the proper authorities. That takes a load off my mind.

I did a couple of short pieces for a client and then sat down and did another chunk of the science fiction assignment. More work arrived, due Monday.

I managed to snag a nice philatelic offering on eBay, very likely because the seller didn't do a very good job of describing the item. Feht says, in addition, that the summer is the worst time to try and sell stamps on eBay.

I've been invited to participate in the compilation of a "Best of LJ Idol" book, which is a very nice compliment. The only thing that worries me is finding the time to write additional material for inclusion in the book by the stated deadline.

I'm trying out a program that uses your webcam to identify your eyes within the cam's field of view. If your eyes aren't there, the program "fuzzes" the information on the screen. Despite the program's unfortunate name (PrivateEye), the demo looked pretty good. I'll have more to say later if the program works as advertised.

I am just over 20% of the way through my writing experiment. I can already feel some changes in my mindset.

Cheers...
