I have five files left to translate in the HTML job. I expect I'll probably get a couple more done today, and then finish off the job tomorrow morning. The real challenge is going to be addressing the two pages of issues, questions, notes, and other items I've put together about the project, mostly having to do with issues of style (technically not my bailiwick) and terminology (definitely mine).

I'm figuring I'll move the directory structure to a Linux machine and then tar all the html files into one file, which will certainly be a more convenient medium for text editing (e.g., search-and-replace) than the nearly 40 individual HTML files in the job.

The three smaller jobs due tomorrow have been whittled down to two. One of the two is actually due on Tuesday morning, which offers an ideal opportunity to procrastinate, while the other is a small job I can also easily take care of tomorrow morning.

I took Drew, Shannon, and Mathew to the Shanghai yesterday, and we had a nice meal. Mathew is a joy to look at, and all of the concerns folks had about why he hadn't begun to speak when he was "supposed to" have pretty much been forgotten. Heck, while the kids were getting ready to go, he pretty much repeated everything I read to him from his favorite new book.

(Now if I could only sneak in some Russian, or French, or something like that!)

Hana (or perhaps Shiloh) expressed a measure of gratitude for house and home by leaving a small rodent on the dining room rug. The poor thing had been exsanguinated in situ, so to speak, and it took a while to mop up the red stuff this morning, an operation that managed to stifle any appetite I may have had for breakfast (at least for a few minutes).

Time to rest for a while.

Cheers...
