Galina lands in Houston in just over three hours. I haven't been this excited since... I don't know when. I got up this morning feeling a little like the morning I was getting married, which is strange, since we've been apart for longer than these past five weeks, and not just once, but multiple times! (Why was it different this time? I ascribe it to the near-daily Skype calls, which was a first for us.)

I pushed myself last night past the 50% mark (to about 67%) of the comment-intensive job, which turned out to be a good thing, because I underestimated the scope of another job that's due this afternoon. Fortunately, I'm down to below 1000 words in that other job, so everything seems to be under control.

Completing these two items will (except for invoicing!) empty my plate, which is probably a good thing, considering Galina returns to Pagosa on Thursday, and there are one or two projects I'd like to get done by then.

Back to work!

Cheers...

It's pleasant to send out invoices, but it's not all fun and games. Moreover, I should not have procrastinated as long as I did, because the longer I delay my invoice, the later I get paid.

There were no major surprises along the way, except for the HTML job. I suspect Wordfast may not have done a proper job of counting words (and in this case, Wordfast was what I had to rely upon, for billing reasons), but I basically ended up about 40% short of where I thought I'd be.

Still, it's not been a bad month, even if it's been a lonely one.

Cheers...
