A good chunk of the morning was devoted to pulling the staples that held the padding in place beneath the rugs we removed yesterday. This is apparently a pretty important step because installers that carry on about how little they charge for installation generally stay mum about charges for removing old carpet, which can be pretty steep. We're still not finished with the staple-pulling, but I'm confident we're 60%+ of the way through the job.

Everything except an IKEA table and a treadmill have been brought downstairs. I managed to bring one IKEA table downstairs by first disassembling it (these things are inhumanly heavy, seeing as how they are made of particle-board components), so I assume the same approach will work for the second table. I may need some help with the treadmill, though, but we'll see.

With some help from Robert yesterday, I finally managed to install the game Andrew gave me for my birthday. Today, I took my first baby steps with the thing. Considering that the last computer game of any consequence that I played was Doom, I am going to be particularly careful not to get too "attached" to the blessed thing. I've got enough to do.

Cheers...
