Getting back on track...
Feb. 5th, 2010 07:52 pmHey, it only took a week of workdays!
I woke to find a draft of LJ friend
tamaraland's LJ Idol essay in my inbox, which encouraged me to start my day with a draft of my own effort for the competition. Then I wrote a short translation for an excellent ongoing client.
By the time I got down to the business at hand, it was nearly noon. I did manage to translate about 2,400 source words by dinnertime, which places me slightly ahead of my pace.
The text is not getting any easier. The abbreviations are still coming fast and furious; I expect to run out of unexplained three-letter combinations soon. Still, at this rate, I'll make my deadline.
I need to get away from the screen. My eyes demand it.
Cheers...
