Some time ago, I bought a saddle-type backpack at a garage sale. It was in good condition and cost something like a quarter. Today, Shiloh and I - mostly the dog - put the item through its paces with a rather long walk to and from the store.

Shiloh was a champ about it, carrying a 10-lb load without complaint (for which extra treats were awarded). In fact, if I am not mistaken, Shiloh was actually easier to manage during this walk than usual.

I picked a sunny day, with generally clear weather for this "dry run" of what might transpire if ever I really do have to go to the store on foot. All in all, the experiment was a success.

I finally did manage to invoice outstanding invoices for the month, and turned out to be close enough to my monthly nut not to have to worry all that much. Some jobs came in as well, which I plan to work on during the weekend, so I didn't push those buttons too hard today.

I should probably go prepare some bread dough so I can bake some bread tomorrow morning. I'm thinking about substituting some white flour with buckwheat flour, this time, just to see how it comes out.

Cheers...
