Here and there...
Feb. 28th, 2010 08:07 pmI got up early to translate the remaining part of the über-pathological PowerPoint presentation, and once I got into the swing of things, it went fairly quickly, though I had to spend extra time on the job because you can't spell check or search in Excel objects that are embedded in Word objects that are embedded in slides. (At least, not unless you've already opened them and are inside them to begin with.)
That also plays merry havoc with word count, too.
I've been stymied by this week's LJ Idol "assignment," too, not to mention stumped by the receipt of virtual gifts, for which I am grateful. I'm sure I'll come up with something, though.
I didn't make dough last night, but I did this afternoon, substituting a half-cup of buckwheat flour for ordinary white unbleached flour (which made the proportion 1/2 cup of buckwheat flour, 1 cup of corn meal, 2 cups of whole wheat flour, and 3 cups of white unbleached). The loaves came out okay, but the taste of buckwheat is very nearly overpowering.
Drew stopped by to pick me up for an improptu dinner over at his and Shannon's place, where I spent some time helping Huntür with some makeup homework about the presidents.
Getting up early puts me in the mood to go to bed early.
Cheers...
