A really easy day...
Jun. 10th, 2010 08:58 pmThe rising sun got me up early, and eventually Galina, too. By the time we had been up and about for a while, it was all of about 7:30 am. Somewhere along the line, we fell asleep again, only to be awakened by Galina's sister, asking about Galina's haircutting appointment.
While the gals were off doing that, I went for a walk to look for a strange little book store/coffee shop I had visited the last time I was in Moscow. The signage is still on the building, but the business is long gone. By the time everyone got back to Alla's apartment, we were ready to order sushi for delivery, and it was well received.
I've really been hitting the pavement the past couple of days, to the extent where I need to take better care of my feet, especially considering our proposed schedule for next week.
The USB modem only works well when I put the computer on the window sill; if I put the computer on the desk that's in the room, the throughput makes me pine for the relatively blazing speed of dial-up in Baikonur.
The relaxation program is going well.
Cheers...
