We got out of the house fairly late (relatively speaking) and made it to Revolution Square by about 10:45. We opted to take the noon tour bus, which took us around Moscow for a couple of hours.

Meanwhile, Galina and I posed for Natalie in front of the Nationale hotel, where we spent our wedding night, and walked around the area, looking for somewhere to get cash. Instead, we found a place that served bliny, which are thin pancakes, filled with various goodies.

After the tour, we walked around the central part of Moscow, visiting Okhotny Ryad, which is an underground mall within a couple of hundred yards or so of the Kremlin wall, where we had a snack and I looked for lithium AA batteries for my camera. (Did I mention that the batteries in my camera died yesterday as we embarked on the river trip?)

Then Galina and Natalie elected to go visit the Kremlin Museum, while I walked around the area and visited the Biblio-Globus bookstore one more time. I wanted to buy a bunch of books, but managed to put most of them back before proceeding to the checkout.

On the way back to the apartment, we stopped at Alla's for dinner, where we were showered with gifts and souvenirs for folks back home. (How we're going to get all this stuff back is beyond my comprehension.)

The main task right now is to get ourselves ready to depart for the Leningrad railroad station, as we have a post-midnight train that will deliver us to St. Petersburg in the morning. In fact, I had better get moving!

Cheers...
