Morning in Central America...
Sep. 27th, 2010 04:40 pmThe flight to Costa Rica from Houston was only 3-1/2 hours, but it felt longer than that.
The formalities coming into the country went fairly quickly, though the fellow in charge of looking at scans of luggage coming into the country seemed to have his mind focused elsewhere.
Our timeshare was advertised as not being a resort kind of place, and the description was spot on. Our unit is very comfortable and entirely too spacious, as it will accommodate 6 persons (and there are only two of us).
Galina's first impression of Costa Rica was how clean the streets were near the airport. My first impression is how virtually every property I've seen so far is barred or fenced, or otherwise enclosed, bordered along the top with spikes, barbed wire, razor wire, and even the occasional electrical fence!
We did the city tour this afternoon, and as such things go, in my experience, it was okay.
