Whistling in the snow...
Mar. 8th, 2011 01:45 pmDavid, down the hill from us, woke me up around 5 am as he drove his snow-clearing equipment up and down our driveway. I was very proud of Shiloh, who obeyed my command to sit still and not make a fuss (usually she will be up and out in the living room, on top of the couch, howling and barking for all she's worth). It had stopped snowing by the time I got up for the day at around 6:30 am.
It sure was pretty outside. This was the scene from our verandah not long after I got up:

Things were looking kind of slow until about 5,000 words (plus some editing) came flying in over the virtual transom a few minutes ago.
Cheers...
P.S. It occurs to me that perhaps I should have gone to Texas with Galina, I'd thereby have a better chance of getting to SXSW. (Not that they'd necessarily let me in, or anything... ;^)
