A-slipping and a-sliding!
Apr. 21st, 2011 07:15 pmIt felt a little weird being able to go to the bank and deposit checks, but I did so anyway, and stopped on the way home to pick up some honest-to-Cthulhu coffee filters (so as to reduce the impact on the roll of paper towels on the kitchen counter).
Work came in, for Monday, and I spent a little time walking around the property in a tee-shirt and shorts, coming to the conclusion that—even with the sun out and very little wind—it was still too early to be walking around dressed like that around here.
I "liberated" the 12-GB recovery partition on my Acer, and rather than attempt some fancy footwork to create one large partition out of what is now the C: drive and the newly liberated real estate, I turned the latter into a drive, moved some directories from my overly crowded C: drive onto it, and created junctions to the moved directories. It's not necessarily pretty, but it works.
In other news, in my spare time, I've begun to read the French version of Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac, and started by skipping ahead to the "No, thank you!" speech. My recitation leaves quite a bit to be desired, but I expect to improve over time.
Is it already almost Friday? Wow.
Cheers...
