I just Googled to find out whether the third episode of the second season of Sherlock (from the BBC) was the last of the season—and it turns out it is. Tant pis pour tous nous, one is tempted to say, of the fans of the show.

Having to wait until the "next season" (which will occur, according to all accounts) means one heck of a spell during which I can consider just what all happened during the third episode, titled The Reichenbach Fall. I'm surely going to have to watch the thing again at least once (and probably twice) just to make sure I caught all of the reversals, sudden turns, Canon-inspired references and puns, and other weirdness that kept the pace red hot and interest high.

More about which later, maybe, if I still have energy after long, arduous hours in front of the tube this evening, watching the CBS lineup... which turns out to be a bunch of reruns.

Nothing much happened in the way of work, aside from more tweaking of my emacs setup and figuring out how to properly install VMware Tools so that I can share files on my machine with the virtual Ubuntu 11.10 machine that runs in VMware Player.

Cheers...
