* * *In other news, we have a serious inquiry about renting the house. Now it's our turn to figure what has to happen if this is to pass.

In related news (sort of), a crew from the electric utility is here to replace the pole in our yard and the run of service wiring from the street.

How they got here is a little mysterious, because yesterday, when I called the utility to get an idea of when this might happen, the person I spoke with wasn't quite sure what had been reported or requested by the first technician last week, after which I was placed on hold for a while, after which I was told someone would be out "to take a look."

Nobody came yesterday, to the best of my knowledge, but two trucks showed up at 8 am sharp this morning (to Shiloh's great barking delight).

Gotta go get ready for a service interruption.
