Curious URL...
Jul. 20th, 2012 05:54 pmI've just seen my first URL expressed in non-Latin characters. I'm sure there are others, but this one—found while translating—belongs to a certain "Ikar" Scientific Production Association in Krasnodar.
The URL is:
My Chrome browser immediately "converted" the URL string from the multibyte Cyrillic to ASCII, like so:
Then returned an "incorrect key" JavaScript error (in Russian), but then... upon dismissing the error dialog box, I was presented with what appears to be the site's home page.
Life on the 'net is gonna get a lot more interesting, methinks.
