Easing back into the fray...
Oct. 28th, 2012 07:06 pmWhat time I spent in my office I spent mostly populating my bookshelves, or more properly, rearranging the books to stand with spines facing away from the wall as opposed to remaining in stacks along the shelving. I've also created a "reading station" in the room outside my office (I'm not really sure what it's supposed to be... maybe a "recreation room"?).
In between all of that and a generally take-it-easy schedule, I translated about 2,000 words, and the work was done while standing. Unlike Pagosa, where my "standing desk" was soon augmented by a bar stool I could lean against (at first, and then eventually sit on), I am determined to remain standing this time. I figure if my legs really and truly start to feel thoroughly abused, I should probably take a break anyway and walk around some.
I got the bicycle somewhat adjusted today, getting the seat up high enough so that my teeth are no longer threatened while I pedal. The next step is going to figure out why the gears aren't working (although given the flat terrain around here and the gear the mechanism is stuck in, that's not really a huge problem).
Off to make a late dinner...
