Hitting the mark...
Mar. 22nd, 2013 09:39 pmI managed to get up a bit earlier than usual because 3,000 words is a fair piece of work, most days, and I had to have all 6,000 words of the document done, despeckled, and out the wire by mid-morning. Another small job came in near the end of the day, requiring immediate turnaround.
In between, Galina and I engaged in the usual Friday routine, with no memorable result.
I also ran across something called beamer, which hints at making it a lot easier to create presentations using LaTeX without having to fire up something like PowerPoint. And while I haven't the foggiest idea of how to go about using LaTeX at this point, it turns out there is a mechanism inside of org-mode that permits exporting to a file format that makes sense to beamer.
While I haven't been formally notified that my proposed presentation at this fall's ATA Conference has been accepted, it would almost make sense for me to create such a presentation using a tool like beamer, as it would relate to the subject of my talk.
Just something to think about...
