Disconcerting juxtaposition...
Jun. 21st, 2013 08:38 amSome time back, an old friend of mine suggested I check out the novels of Vince Flynn. I only got around to reading one of his books a couple of days ago, after I found a copy of American Assassin among the paperbacks in the common room downstairs.
I will freely admit that I found it hard to put the book down, doing so only when forced by circumstance to do so. I finished it in short order.
Then yesterday, I learn the author just died, at the young age of 47, after a struggle with prostate cancer.
News like that takes a palpable something away from having just finished reading what appears to be the first of Flynn's books about Mitch Rapp.

I've the morning free today, so I better "turn to" and get laundry, etc. done. I'm on the hook again starting at 1 pm.
