Jul. 4th, 2013 10:12 pmThere are bit less than two hours left in the Fourth of July at this end of the world, and folks—mostly the French, with a smattering of Russians and Americans—are still socializing at the gazebo next door at the Cosmos hotel.
Pretty much everyone is leaving tomorrow, except for a skeleton crew that includes me as the trilingual interpreter and the propellant team, which still has some operations to perform on the spacecraft before they also leave next week.
I've never worked this side of the business before. It should be interesting.
