Department of "wow" (but not in a good way)...

I fired up FineReader to get a handle on a PDF that had been sent to me for potential translation, and was informed that the application would have to be reinstalled as a consequence of having upgraded to Windows 8.1!

Unbelievable!

I don't think I've ever had that happen to me before in the quarter century I've been using apps in various iterations of Windows!

Apart from a couple of hours of sluggish activity at the computer this morning, it's been another day of chugging down the vitamin C to fight the bug. I slept for most of the day, after a full night of sleep. I hope to be on the mend tomorrow.
