Good eats...
Dec. 14th, 2013 11:06 pmI finally worked up the nerve to bake some corn bread using a recipe from a woman who was a "regular" at the Pagosa amateur radio breakfasts (and who wields one rather impressive "fist," as the ability to key Morse code is called; she won a national title of some kind several years ago, despite being an octogenarian. But I digress...)
The corn bread recipe was about as simple as such a thing can be, and the result was pretty good. The only down side is that Galina dislikes corn bread with something of a passion, which is why it's taken me so long to get around to making it, as I'm the only person in the house who'll eat it.
I made the corn bread as a warm up (almost literally, as it's been pretty cold around these parts) to making a batch of my personal version of five-minute artisan bread, some of which has actually survived its first day out of the oven. :^)
A weekend job came in over the transom this morning, and has been sent back. Marketing words, sort of. Along the lines of website filler.
In other news, I am so way behind in personal correspondence, it's not funny. I plan to address that shortcoming tomorrow.
