Best laid plans...
Jan. 21st, 2014 10:37 pmI started the year with every intention of making this year the one where I offer something at my work site that'll keep 'em coming back for more (and clicking on ads). Three weeks into the year, I find myself somewhat behind with that goal, and while that's nothing to be happy about, at least I'm aware of it.
Although it is easy enough to blame my current workload for not posting anything now, there is, of course no excuse—or at least no good excuse, and anyway... I'm not really into excuses—for not coming up with something interesting to post when work is slow.
Speaking of work, today's "haul" was rather large. I don't feel like doing the math, but eyeballing my "jobs" buffer in emacs suggests it was a 5,000 word day.
Hands down, the highlight of the day was the document in which a handful of changes were "helpfully" highlighted by the originator, except that apparently, someone else had made some rather significant changes to the document as well (and not in revision mode—not that anyone there is likely to even be aware of revision mode, but I digress...).
Hilarity ensured. (Not really.)
The pillow beckons, and who am I to say no?
