ROKU reckoning...
Jul. 20th, 2014 12:58 pmAdmittedly, there's been less television viewing around here since Aereo went dark, but I didn't realize just how much we rely on our ROKU until it attempted to reboot yesterday while we were watching a movie and it got stuck somewhere along the way, prevented from finishing the process by I know not what.
So in taking a short break from work, I applied the dull tip of a push-pin kept specifically for this purpose to the "reset" button on the unit, whereupon it booted successfully, and although all of the "channels" we had on it were restored without having to do anything more than supply our username and password, any channel that requires an additional password (e.g., HuluPlus) will need to be dealt with separately.
And so it's back to work...
