Radio Erevan joke...

I somehow ended up at a website called "Inside Higher Ed," where I spied an article that begins:
Cheers...
I somehow ended up at a website called "Inside Higher Ed," where I spied an article that begins:
While American universities debate whether "civility" is an appropriate way to evaluate faculty members, a British institution has faced intense criticism for punishing a faculty member for sighing, unfriendly body language and the use of irony. (Emphasis mine.)This immediately reminded me of a joke I heard wa-a-y back in the day, attributed to "Radio Erevan" (aka, "Armenian Radio"):
A listener asks: "What should I do if a stranger sits down at my table at a restaurant and begins to sigh?"Off to take a short nap, and then do the other 5,000 words for the day (just kidding... only 2,000 words).
Our editorial board responds: "You should demand the stranger immediately cease this display of anti-Soviet propaganda!"
Cheers...
