Cutting it thin...
Nov. 3rd, 2014 07:55 pmI have this (probably bad) habit of jumping around when translating a document within a translation memory product like MemoQ. Part of it has to do with the way I fix things (sometimes, when I find something that needs fixing, I add it to a so-called "disambiguation list" to be addressed later; other times, I just go through what I've done and fix it), part of it has to do with my approach to working inside of MemoQ, which often requires segments to be sorted in other than sequential order.
In any event, the Big Job™ looked, for a while, as if it would never end. Today, however, I managed to nail the last of the segments, so now the job sits in my "pending" pile while I address a 7,000+ source word sales contract.
I have a pretty good idea of what my "open topic" item will be for this week's LJ Idol post. I just hope I'm not underestimating what it will take to actually write the thing.
Onward and upward. Excelsior!
