Scattered again...

So by the time I got back from the airport where I dropped Galina off for her flight to New York, the kids were long gone, headed to the airport for their flight back to Canada.

I found the rest of the day to be rather depressing, and attempts to lose myself in my work initially had no effect, but as of a few minutes ago, I've broken past the "less than 1000 words left" mark of the Big Job™, and things seem to have righted themselves, more or less, at least in terms of work.

There's still a palpable emptiness...
