I'm not sure it will have any long-lasting effect, but I managed to move two full years of assignments off my C: drive, which was the easy part of the procedure. The more challenging part was opening up my org-mode archive of completed assignments and changing the paths of the assignment folders to reflect the new location.

I am mildly surprised at all the people expressing happiness about today's FCC vote to implement net neutrality rules that, theoretically, have never been released to the public (although once source I saw hinted that Google was able to have some changes incorporated into the regs before the vote was taken, which if true will doubtless be touted by some wags as a victory for the "transparency" of the process). In any event, the large players in the business of providing content and connectivity, who theoretically ought to be miffed at being forced to do whatever the new regulations call for, seem to have nothing to say.

I'm sure a freer, more competitive, and more open Internet is just around the corner.

All my work with the spirometer that went home with me from the hospital seems to have paid off. The device apparently measures the volume of air one inhales, and I can now routinely hit 3000 cc and often more. Also, some kind of reflex—similar to a cough (maybe a cough I am suppressing?)—has almost disappeared completely.

Progress, of a sort.

Cheers...
