Various things...
Feb. 24th, 2015 10:06 pmThe word "misspoke" (and various tenses and forms thereof) keeps popping up increasingly in the news.
Now, I don't doubt that one can incorrectly recall some biographical fact. It happened to me, a while back, when I tried to recall the year my friends and I witnessed an Apollo moon launch, and it turned out I was off by a year (Apollo 14 launched at the end of January 1971; my initial recollection had been 1970).
But incorrectly recalling if one had served in the Special Forces?
Excuse me?
That's a lot like "misremembering" what your major was in college.
* * * Although yesterday was thin on the work side, plenty of work came in today. I didn't push myself, though (as there was no need to), and kept my production to somewhere in the vicinity of 3,000 target words. There is just enough left to do tomorrow to constitute a reasonably good warm-up for my brain cells.
Speaking of which, I need to put in a good effort to get some quality sleep time in. I only got about 5 hours last night.
Cheers...
