I managed to get through the bulk of a 12,000-word job today, this despite a meeting with my doctor over near the other side of town to make sure I understood what I had been told about a certain clinical trial during my follow-up at MD Anderson.

It didn't rain nearly as much today, or at least I didn't experience very much; just a local shower while driving to meet with my doctor, and driving through the aftermath of another shower while driving home. Also, given my itinerary, I took the liberty of stopping by the Russian General Store and the Hong Kong Market on the way home.

This morning's breakfast consisted of black beans, spinach, and tomato pico sitting on top of a small omlet made with "Western style" egg white product. Lunch was a stir-simmered mixture of chopped bok choy, sliced mushrooms, and diced tofu. Dinner was a sort of impromptu eggplant dish made on the barbecue grill (which included tomato sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese) that I ate with a salad of greens topped with more pico and some seaweed. I didn't record amounts, and while I can't imagine this all was very calorie-heavy, I'm hoping that at least in terms of protein, the day was a success.

I sent an estimate of when I'll be sending completed assignments back to my best client this coming week (starting tomorrow, naturally), and received a reply that told me not to rush things, and even take another day if I need it. I probably won't, but it's nice to know the buffer's there, especially as new work may show up starting about 7 hours from now.

In the meantime, I better get some sleep. Big day tomorrow.

Cheers...
