Nothing new came in via email today, leaving me plenty of time to contemplate The Behemoth™, a job that came in last week, for which I've only translated the essentials so far.
Ten files remain outstanding, of which 7 are PDFs—complicated PDFs, with formatting that strains the capabilities of my OCR software and lots of embedded graphics. Most of yesterday was spent getting a handle on things, and most of today was spent deep in the guts of FineReader, tweaking the OCR.
Natalie visited my tai chi class this evening, and had a good time. I had a good time, too.
Tomorrow's plan is to send off at least two of the 10 files. One is almost ready to send; another is about 80% complete. Then it'll be back to the grind to deal with the other 8 files.
Which makes tomorrow a big day.
Cheers...
