Jul. 29th, 2015 10:32 pmThe computer I bought at the end of last month turned out to be such an incredible disappointment that last night, I restored the thing to its factory state and today, I returned it to where I bought it. There were a few moments of suspense as the staff at the customer service counter argued whether the unit was a tablet (as one could disconnect the keyboard and use the thing as a tablet) or a computer (it does have a keyboard, even if detachable, and runs Windows 8.1), but finally settled on the latter, clearing the way for me to get a refund. (Had the decision gone the other way, the 15-day store policy on tablet returns would have saddled me with the unit.)
House keys were made. Chipotle was visited. Shopping took place at HEB.
I even got a load of translation accomplished. Two files went out this morning, and I just finished another 3500 words a few moments ago. This last will go out tomorrow after a despeckle.
Dinner was at a local Indian restaurant. Mmm-m!
Big day today. Even bigger day tomorrow!
Cheers...
