Spanish survival...
Aug. 16th, 2015 09:22 pmI did look up a handful of words today—okay, several handfuls—mostly to determine whether a particular alternative I had in mind to what appeared in the translation might be acceptable (ak-SEP-tuh-bull in English; ak-sep-TAH-blay in Spanish).
The job took most of the day. It's sent. There will, hopefully, be time for a debrief tomorrow.
In other news, I ad-libbed a crawfish-tail stew for the evening meal, and Alla found it quite tasty. I went so far as to have a second portion, with hot sauce over rice, which probably makes today a "cheat day" with regard to my overall dietary efforts (I will freely admit I am pretty tired of the salad, salad, salad that has characterized my food input outside of breakfast).
Galina is binge-watching Death in Paradise. I managed to sneak in episode 5 of Mr. Robot.
It's been that kind of day.
But it's nothing compared to what tomorrow will bring!
